Nor these...

but it was one of the more memorable christmases for me, again. This time, not with my family.
While Tom und Bill were enjoying their X'mas together,

I had an early X'mas night with their fan(s).

Very well guessed. I spent my Christmas morning at the airport. We didn't go home after the party, as we headed there straight. We weren't the only ones there, it was the perfect place for the homeless. One person to 5 chairs. Breakfast at 3am. Dashing with trolleys, pretending to catch a non-existant flight. Spying on sneaky people at the viewing mall. Knocked-out at the foodcourt. This is one of the better places on earth.

Stayed awake to catch the first train home, as I was missing all the sleep already. Sunrise in the train from expo to kallang, then a clash with the extremely-early-working-birds yawning away on the subway. I can never imagine myself going to work at that time. It's insane.
But then again, I havent' been awake at this time of the day for a century. Morning air never smelt and felt that good. I'm lucky.
When I got home, it was 7am sharp, Mom came out and said "wow! you're awake for the first time, and it's so so early!!".
I looked at her and said "*yawn*, I didn't just wake up, I just came home". you could imagine that look on her face.
A few months back, we had a merlion ice sculpture in the chamber, in commemoration of National Day. When I saw it again that night, it looked like it was malnutritioned and lost 50kg. Now the ice sculpture is stick thin, it could fall apart. Thanks to kids hugging and rubbing the merlion, it melted to its pathetic state. So now instead of him, this is the beast that was the target of all snowballs. How ugly can it get.

and these are the usual glass shots that we eat after drinking, or start smashing people's head with it.
Below is what you call, an all ice-bar.

On a christmas eve like that, where your family is not there, and in a place like this, which is what I will call home, nothing can be better than free-flow beer, panicking at the disco in the freezing snowfall chamber, with the best company. A pity, most of them had to work outside, and couldn't join us inside. But I couldn't ask for more, sitting amongst the snowfall, staring at lightings, eating hotpot in the cold, scratching the cds, lying on hard ice, and freezing all over, like in mini-finland or something.
After that night, it's the 99th time I've confirmed that no other place on earth can make me this happy everytime I'm there.
-charlene would love to hear about all your christmases as well
Spin, donuts, spin. No one will buy you anyway.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha
And also the frozen beast from Snow City. That sad face that represents all who have been bullied/attacked by snowballs.
